SAMBO could be included in the training program of the Bolivian Police Academy

Demonstration performances of sambists took place on March 30 at the opening of the sports year at the National Police Academy of Bolivia (ANAPOL). In their demonstration, the Bolivian sambists focused on techniques from Combat SAMBO and SAMBO for Special Forces, which greatly interested the management and cadets of the academy.

The police commander of the La Paz department, Cesar Augusto Russo Sandoval, emphasized the importance of the presence of martial arts in the training program of the police academy and thanked the Bolivian Sambo Federation for the brilliant demonstration.

The President of the Bolivian Sambo Federation, Cesar Juan Castro Fernandez, in turn, expressed gratitude to the academy for their interest in a completely new sport for them. According to him, the issue of including SAMBO in the training program of the ANAPOL Academy is currently being considered in order to strengthen the sports training of cadets – future police officers.
