Ukrainian Medalists of the II European Games Received State Awards

Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 522/2019 “On awarding state awards of Ukraine to members of the national team of Ukraine at the II European Games” was published. In the list of awarded there are members of the national SAMBO team.

Awarded:

- owner of "silver" Olena Sayko - Order of Princess Olga of the II degree;

- winner of the European Games Anastasia Sapsai, silver medalists Katerina Moskalova and Anastasiia Novikova - Order of Princess Olga of the III degree;

- bronze medalists Halyna Kovalska and Natalya Smal - with the medal “For Labor and Valor”.

The head coach of the national team of Ukraine Mikhail Rudenko was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine".

In total, the Ukrainian SAMBO team at the II European Games in Minsk brought 6 medals to the piggy bank of their country: 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. All awards were won in women's sports SAMBO competitions.
