The exhibition " Blind SAMBO: from the first training sessions to the World Championships" has become available in a virtual format

As part of the 2024 World SAMBO Championships in Astana (Kazakhstan), the exhibition " Blind SAMBO: from the first training sessions to the World Championships" was held, prepared by the SAMBO for the Blind Charitable Foundation. The exhibition was visited by spectators and participants of the main tournament of the year in the FIAS calendar. Both sighted people and people with visual impairments will be able to “see” the contents of the stands. Audio descriptions in Russian and English provide detailed information about what the exhibition consists of.

As the head of the FIAS Commission for Athletes with Disabilities Roman Novikov said, the information in the video and on the stands reflects the history and experience of the development of Blind SAMBO, methods of teaching the Blind SAMBO techniques.

"In addition to informing about the new discipline of SAMBO, it is also important to increase the motivation of the blind and visually impaired sambists themselves. So that they want to share their experience with the community, take a more active position in the development of SAMBO, and, if necessary, take on organizational work," Novikov said.

Let us recall that among the honored guests of the exhibition during the 2024 World SAMBO Championships in Astana were the President of the International SAMBO Federation Vasily Shestakov and the World SAMBO Ambassador Fedor Emelianenko.
