French University SAMBO Championships held in Marquis
The small French town of Marquis is known primarily as a major center for the extraction of marble. In addition to the marble quarries, the 13th century St. Martin Church and the 17th century water mill are also among the attractions of this place. In March of the current year in Marquis the event occurred, which may also fall into the history of the city: French University SAMBO Championships took place here.

The competition was attended by 65 athletes (22 females and 43 males), representing 12 universities of the country. The tournament was organized by the French Committee of SAMBO, the French Federation of Wrestling and Related Disciplines, the French Federation of University Sport.
