FIAS invites sambists to the ITA monthly webinar “Consequences of Doping part 2: Effects on Others”

The International SAMBO Federation invites sambists to join the webinar of the International Testing Agency (ITA) "Consequences of Doping Part 2: Effects on Others ", which will be held on March 28.

When we think of consequences of doping, we often only consider the consequences to the person who doped. But doping has a ripple effect and has significant consequences for others including the athlete’s family members and teammates, other athletes, and the sport.

In part 2 of this webinar mini-series, delivered in collaboration with the University of Birmingham (UK), it will take a look at some of these consequences for others, including through the eyes of double Olympic medalist Christine Girard OLY, who was awarded both of her medals retrospectively.

FIAS and ITA invite all athletes and their support personnel to join  Dr Philip Hurst, Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology, Canterbury Christ Church University, in this interactive webinar to consider and understand the consequences of doping for others.

ITA will leave time at the end of the session to answer your questions live.

The webinars will be delivered in English with simultaneous translation to five additional languages as part of this mini-series – Arabic (العربي), Spanish (español), French (français), Russian (русский), and Mandarin Chinese (普通话).
