Cameroon has historically been one of the best countries in the development of SAMBO in Africa. Last year, the national team of this country won eight medals at the continental championship in Egypt, five of which were gold.

We also recall that in 2020, Seidou Nji Moulu from Cameroon became the first African sambo wrestler to win the world title. He had no equal in the weight category up to 100 kg among men in combat sambo.
