Foreign SAMBO Coaches Were Invited to Learn English and Work in New Zealand
The New Zealand SAMBO Federation is announcing an opportunity to participate in a 14-week program that combines English language learning with practical SAMBO coaching experience. The program is designed to develop the language skills essential for working in international sports environments.
Program Format
Training will take place in Auckland – one of the world's most multicultural cities, offering excellent sports facilities and high educational standards. The program runs for 14 weeks with classes five days per week.
Program participants have the opportunity to work officially as SAMBO coaches in accredited clubs.
Each training day is divided into two sessions. Morning classes focus on English language instruction with emphasis on sports terminology, coaching vocabulary, presentation skills, and professional documentation preparation. Evening sessions include training at partner gyms, coaching practice in English, and methodology exchange with international specialists.
Key Feature
The program's main distinction is the integration of language directly into the training process. English is taught not as an academic subject, but as a practical working tool: all coaching instructions, technical explanations, group discussions, and seminars are conducted in English, creating an environment that closely mirrors international competitions and training camps.
Who Should Apply
The program is designed for SAMBO athletes, coaches and their assistants, referees and officials, and sports administrators – all professionals planning to work at the international level.
Outcomes
Upon completing the course, participants will be able to confidently conduct training sessions and refereeing in English, gain experience working in a multicultural environment, become familiar with international methodologies, and build a professional network within the global SAMBO community.
