Cyprus diary. Dmitry Maximov — about the seminar in Nicosia. Day 3
A FIAS International Seminar for Sambo Coaches is being held from December 16 to 21 in Nicosia, Cyprus. Coaches with special training and experience in Sambo have been invited to attend the seminar. FIAS Sports Director Dmitry Maximov is keeping a seminar diary for our website.
Day 3
The third day began with a presentation by Marios Andreou entitled "Training Methods in Sambo". For one and a half hours, the seminar participants studied the features of mastering Sambo techniques in physical training and immersed themselves in the basic principles of physical training and the finer points of learning motor skills.
In the practical part of the seminar, participants spent three hours repeating the main groups of stand up throws. Mikhail Kozitskiy showed different variations of over the back and hip throws, as well as leg throw techniques.
Rais Rakhmatullin made the participants sweat while learning the principles of painful holds — joint locks and locks. I'm sure the participants now have several dozen more ways to perform painful holds after throwing someone to the ground.
