Vadim Nemkov spoke about the opening of a SAMBO and boxing center in Luzhniki
Bellator light heavyweight champion, four-time world champion in Combat SAMBO Vadim Nemkov answered the question of how the opening of the International SAMBO and Boxing Center at Luzhniki will affect the development of mixed martial arts in Russia and the world.
“As a person who has dedicated my life to sports and Combat SAMBO, I can say that the emergence of such a center is an big dream of sambists all over the world. It is very important that fans of our sport all over the world find their home - a place fully equipped for their needs,” Izvestia quotes Nemkov.
According to the fighter, he was able to briefly familiarize himself with the project of the center under construction.
“It will be possible to train and perform there. As I understand it, there will also be a hotel and medical services. I hope that such a center in Moscow will become the first sign, and in the near future sambists will have similar sports facilities on other continents,” he said.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
