Vasily Shestakov and Alexander Karelin Discuss the Future of Combat Sports

President of the International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) Vasily Shestakov and legendary wrestler, statesman, and public figure Alexander Karelin held a joint meeting at the Comprehensive School of Higher Sports Excellence.

During the meeting, they reviewed the results of the World SAMBO Championships, which took place from November 7 to 9 in Kyrgyzstan, and discussed prospects for the further development of various combat sports worldwide.

Special attention was given to strengthening international cooperation in martial arts, supporting young athletes, and promoting traditional combat disciplines through educational and social initiatives.
