FIAS takes part on the United Nations celebration of the Women’s Day

Event organised in Geneva had the main goal of addressing gender equality.
In celebration of the International Women’s Day, FIAS joined important global organisations in the United Nations Office in Geneva to discuss gender equality. One of the highlights of the day was the roundtable debate on the role of sports in promoting equal opportunities and women’s empowerment.
Embracing the celebrations, FIAS also released in the social media a video dedicated to all women in the sambo community, who are actively contributing to the development of the sport worldwide.

Women’s empowerment is a topic near and dear to the heart of FIAS, who has been working closely with the women’s commission and external organisations to advance women’s participation in SAMBO and foster an environment with equal opportunities.
