World Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships will be held in Greece
The World Youth and Junior SAMBO Championships have been moved from Mongolia. This decision was made by the FIAS technical commission together with the Mongolian Sambo Federation in connection with the difficult epidemiological situation in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In turn, the Hellenic Sambo Federation applied for this tournament, confirming its readiness to organize the competition. The tournament will take place in Thessaloniki from 15 to 17 October.
All event participants will be required to take a COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours before arriving at the competition. Based on the experience of holding of the 2020 World SAMBO Championships and the 2020 Youth and Junior World Championships in Serbia, the main youth and junior start of this year will take place in the so-called "sanitary bubble". This will protect participants from contact with the outside world and maximally protect them from the possibility of infection with COVID-19.
