Prize fund of the World SAMBO Championships in Kazakhstan will be 311,000 US dollars
The World SAMBO Championships will be held in Astana (Kazakhstan) from November 8 to 10. The tournament will feature 31 sets of medals, and the winners of the competitions will receive prize money in addition to the medals. The total prize fund of the tournament will be 311,000 US dollars.
At the World Championships in Kazakhstan, medals will be awarded in in Sport SAMBO among men and women, Combat SAMBO among men and women, and Blind SAMBO among men in the SVI-1 class (totally blind athletes). The disciplines of Combat SAMBO among women and SAMBO for the Blind were included in the program of the World SAMBO Championships for the first time in history.
The prize money will be distributed in the following order:
Sport and Combat SAMBO
Gold medal – 4,000 US dollars;
Silver medal – 3,000 US dollars;
Bronze medal – 2,000 US dollars.
Blind SAMBO
Gold medal – 1,000 US dollars.
The competition will be broadcast live on the Sambo.Live video portal.
