World SAMBO Cup to Be Held in Dushanbe for the First Time in Modern History – Regulations Published

The capital of Tajikistan will host the World SAMBO Cup for men and women in both Sport and Combat SAMBO disciplines. The competition will take place on 20-21 September at the Sports Complex of the National Institute of Tajikistan, bringing together the strongest SAMBO athletes from around the globe.

For Dushanbe, this is a landmark event – for the first time in modern history, the city will serve as the stage for such a major international SAMBO tournament. The event is organized by the International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) in cooperation with the SAMBO Federation of Tajikistan.

The World Cup program will feature bouts in seven weight categories for both men and women in Sport SAMBO, and the same number in Combat SAMBO. Athletes over the age of 18, representing the national teams of their countries, will step onto the mat.

All competitors must be registered in the FIAS Database to be eligible to participate.

Spectators can expect a vibrant sporting spectacle: the arena will see both current world-ranking leaders and rising athletes making their mark on the international stage.

Dushanbe, a city with a rich history and rapidly developing sports infrastructure, is preparing to welcome guests and participants to a tournament that will be an important milestone in promoting SAMBO in the region and strengthening international sporting ties.
