UKRANIAN CADETS FOUGHT FOR THE MEDALS AND PLACES IN THE NATIONAL TEAM

The Ukranian SAMBO Championships among cadets was held in Kiev from October 28 to October 29. Following the results of the tournament, national team candidates, who are likely to participate in the European Championships in Croatia at the beginning of December, have been determined. About 300 sportsmen from 19 regions of the country took part in the competitions, the representatives of 17 regions won medals.

– We not only evaluated the athletes` skills, but also evaluated young referees, who completed the seminar this summer and received the national category. We loaded them with work both at preliminary and final stages of the tournament. I think they did very well, from the point of refereeing the tournament was a success with exceptionally frenetic sporting environment. We are glad that there are no crucial complaints concerning the fairness of the results, - President of the jury of the Ukrainian SAMBO Federation Anatoly Kantur noted.
